A solution's pH is a measure of how acidic or basic a solution is. The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14. More acidic solutions have lower pH values, and a solution with a pH of 0 is highly acidid. A solution that has a pH of 7 is neutral. More basic solutions have higher pH values, and a solution with a pH of 14 is extremely basic.
An indicator is a compound that reacts with acids and bases to produce certain colors. For that reason indicators help you find out how acidic or basic a solution is.
Check out the lab because it involves testing solutions using a natural indicator.
