Goal:
To enhance technology integration skills in educators
This
course is for K-12 educators who are interested in integrating technology
into teaching and learning. Its focus is on the Technology Applications
Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TA-TEKS), the U.S. National Educational
Technology Standards (NETS), how these standards can be correlated with
other content areas, and how units of instruction can be developed to appropriately
integrate technology into daily classroom practice.
A
special opportunity for summer 2000 participants is that those who wish
to travel may elect to visit targeted sites in Hawaii, Australia, and New
Zealand, in order to study innovative examples of technology integration.
Travelers will keep an electronic diary of the trip and incorporate their
perceptions into their own exemplary units of practice.
